Q: What if I want to make returns, cancellations or exchanges for my order?
Returns and cancellations are subject to the returns and cancellations policy of the store from which you purchased from. If you return or cancel an item, we have to reverse any cashback earned from that sale. Exchanges also reverse cashback earned. During the process of an exchange, the store cancels the old order and replaces it with a new one. When the store creates the new order, it fails to capture the referral from ShopBack and thus will not credit ShopBack with a commission. To avoid losing cashback on an exchange, we recommend cancelling your order and making a new transaction. Back to Top

Most cashback rewards are credited automatically to your ShopBack account within 1-2 days. Your cashback may take up to 60 days to become redeemable (ready for cash out) as some Merchant Partners may take up to 45 days to confirm commission to us, so as to account for refunds and returns. Q: How do I make sure I am earning cashback?

Purchases you make are only credited if you start your shopping session at ShopBack and click on a merchant’s store. After being redirected to the merchant’s site, do ensure that you stay on that page all the way till you complete your purchase so that the “last click” to the merchant’s site is from ShopBack. Doing so allows us to verify that you shopped through your ShopBack account and lets us give you cashback accordingly.

Q: Do all purchases qualify for cashback?
Virtually all items you purchase through ShopBack qualify for cashback, with the following exceptions:
Taxes, shipping, or any portion of a purchase that is paid for with gift certificates or store credits. Any purchase of products or services that is not completed via ShopBack’s merchants’ links. Certain stores place minor restrictions on cashback eligibility. We do our best to maintain an up-to-date list of store-related exceptions on our website. Note that store exceptions change regularly and ShopBack reserves the right to cancel or delay cashback payments when merchant partners alter their policies or refuse to pay ShopBack a commission.

Q: Are there any software or settings that can keep me from earning cashback?

If you have disabled cookies on your browser, ShopBack will be unable to track your order and give you your cashback. Do ensure that cookies are enabled under your browser settings. Here’s how:

Click on the menu icon and select “Settings”. Near the bottom of the page, click “Show advanced settings” and locate the “Privacy” section. Click on “Content settings” and select the “Allow local data to be set (recommended)” option under “Cookies”. Click the “Done” button to register this change.

Due to the number of third party browsers available, we cannot verify that any other than the ones mentioned will work properly with ShopBack.

Your browser may sometimes be “confused”, resulting in errors that may prevent you from earning cashback. Clear the cache to ensure cashback tracking (it takes less than a minute)!

Security software such as Kaspersky or other protection software can block the tracking cookies ShopBack uses to earn cashback for your order. If you are using this type of software, you will need to ensure that it is set up to allow cookies from ShopBack and our Merchant Partner. Similarly, if you’re using a firewall such as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security or a similar firewall, you will need to keep the “Ad Blocking” turned off.

Some toolbars can redirect the commission ShopBack earns to another affiliate. If you have any toolbars installed, you may need to check and see if they are linked to any other shopping rewards or coupon sites.

If you are using Adblock or Adblock Plus, you might also experience issues receiving cashback.

Q: How can I ensure cashback tracking with ad blockers installed?

Users with AdBlock or AdBlock Plus installed may experience issues receiving cashback. If we detect that you have AdBlock installed, you will see a red top banner on your screen – kindly click on the “Click to enable cashback” button to disable Adblock for cashback shopping on ShopBack. Doing so will not disable Adblock completely, it will only disable Adblock for ShopBack to ensure that we can track your cashback successfully.

Q: How do I clear the cache on my browser to ensure cashback tracking?

Your browser may sometimes be “confused”, resulting in errors that may prevent you from earning cashback. Clear the cache to ensure cashback tracking (it takes less than a minute)! Here’s how to clear the cache on your browser:

Google Chrome

Click on the menu icon and select “Tools” and then “Clear browsing data”. In the dialog that appears:

  • 1. Select “beginning of time” from the drop-down menu
  • 2. Select the “Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data” option
  • 3. Select the “Empty the cache” option

REFER A FRIEND
Q: How do I earn rewards for referring friends to ShopBack?

ShopBack will reward you with a referral bonus for every new member you refer to ShopBack who signs up and then shops through us - a "qualified referral". The bonus will be credited into your ShopBack account for every qualified referral. With effect from 3 Aug, all referral bonuses will only be reflected in your ShopBack account when your referrals meet the minimum spend requirement and their cashback becomes redeemable.

A "qualified referral" is a new member of ShopBack referred by you that signs up on ShopBack and makes orders totaling a minimum spending. Any orders that do not earn cashback will not be counted towards the minimum spend requirement.

If your friend's order is later cancelled, changed or refunded and, for travel orders in particular, if no-shows occur, your referral bonus will be revoked.

A qualified referral must be generated using (i) your unique referral link or (ii) the referral methods on this page. If referred through email, your friend has to sign up on ShopBack using the referred email address.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of activities that are not permitted and that will disqualify you from earning referral bonuses: (i) self-referral, (ii) posting your referral link on any ShopBack merchant's Facebook or forum page, (iii) keyword bidding for the purpose of generating traffic to pages containing your referral link, and (iv) any similar activity determined by ShopBack in its sole discretion to be inconsistent with the purpose of ShopBack's Refer-a-Friend Programme. ShopBack reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of this promotion.

Any infringement of the above terms and conditions would result in the loss of all bonuses. Repeat offences would result in the closure of your ShopBack account.
