APAC’s leading rewards and discovery platform ShopBack has recorded astounding results for this year’s 9.9 ShopFest!
Compared to an average day in September, our one-stop discovery platform achieved 2.5 times in total traffic and helped merchants drive over 5.5 times in total sales across the region. Additionally, ShopBack users in APAC placed more than 3.5 times total orders than they normally do on an average day in September.

We successfully brought brands and merchants over 10 times the total sales of an average day in September for the 9.9 mega day – a great beginning indeed. ShopBack Philippines also achieved more than 5 times the total orders and saw more than 3 times the amount of traffic in comparison to an average day in September.
Interestingly, ShopBack recorded 12AM-1AM as the popular shopping time belt, where Filipinos grabbed some of the biggest 9.9 bargains from brands such as Shopee, Lazada, foodpanda, watsons, ZALORA, UNIQLO, adidas, and HSBC. Furthermore, ShopBack’s top cashback earners shopped from Maybank, Booking.com, NIKE, iHerb, citi, and ZALORA.
Another significant finding is that the grocery category topped 9.9. This is likely because Filipinos were heavily investing in their wellbeing by stocking up on preventive supplies such as food, vitamins, and hygiene-focused products. Also part of the list is beauty and women’s fashion. This is likely due to the fact that consumers have started to be particularly conscious of their skin, as well as their outfits during virtual meetings.
As part of our efforts to bring awareness about ShopFest, we also launched our own Instagram filter for shoppers to flex their 9.9 carts and get a chance to win Php 9,000. The initiative is indeed a success as the filter got 8,000+ impressions, thanks to the 400+ ShopBack users who joined the #ShopBack99Ready giveaway.
